Wastes have been central for my work for 20 years, wastes having lost their use or value. Since 2000 I’ve been working only with plastic bits.

The MONGO exhibition presents works I’ve made between 2007 and 2011

The « fineries » serie   presents fineries in black showcases made with plastic bits. Their title is named after the place I found each one. These fineries remind the first artistic production of Mankind recovering fragments of bones or feather to adorn with. Nowadays you can see traces of such production in our archeology or ethnography museums. I use here the exhibition codes of these institutions.

The "accords perdus" serie   presents fineries in open box with black bottom. These boxes have a casket size; you may recognize some fragments that recall the first use of the objects. These works are made with plastic wastes of various origins; you can also hear the sounds of the places where they were found.

The title of this serie is also about me diving again into artistic activity after a 2-years-break.

"Accords perdus" means at last the forever lost corpses, symbolized by the large black bottom on which the colored fineries are placed.

The «objets identifiables" serie is a lightning sculptures serie  , made with plastic wastes that you can recognize the initial use. They are presented like archeological pieces. Light emphasizing their sacred value.

Then the latest serie: "flacons XXIème siècle, Merci Marcel"  presents, on white pedestals, several plastic flasks having been quite transformed by the environment. The subtitle “Merci Marcel” is a blink to Marcel Duchamp’s work which is still nurturing all the contemporary artistic production, and of course mine as well.
